Here’s a simple, step-by-step look at what the onboarding journey involves.

JioBlackRock Personalised Investment Advice is available through the My Jio and JioFinance app. Download the app on your mobile device from the QR codes given below:


To make onboarding smooth, keep the following handy:

    • PAN card
    • Aadhaar-linked mobile number
    • Aadhaar card

Most people are up and running in a few minutes.

Step 1: Sign up

Your journey begins by creating a secure JioBlackRock Personalised Investment Advice account.

At this stage:

    • Verify email and mobile via OTP
    • Set up your login credentials with MPIN
    • Fingerprint / Face ID 

Why this step matters

This ensures your account is protected and linked correctly to you.

Step 2: Get investment ready - Account setup and KYC Verification

To help you be investment ready we help you complete your KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. 

Documents you’ll need:

    • PAN card
    • For first time KYC user Aadhaar would be needed as well


This step broadly includes:

    • Sharing basic details about yourself
    • Employment/ professional information
    • Bank account verification via UPI or Net banking

In most cases, this is completed digitally and takes only a few minutes.

Why this step matters

This helps you to comply with regulator and a safe, compliant investing experience.

Step 3: Discovering your Investor Type

You’ll then be guided through questions that help us understand not just what you’re investing for but also your comfort with risk. This helps us develop a plan that is truly personalised to you.

These include understanding:

    • Your current financial position
    • Your investment objectives 
    • Your risk comfort

There are no right or wrong answers - this is about your priorities.

Step 4: Subscribe to unlock your portfolio – Mandate setup

Before onboarding is completed, you’ll see

    • Terms and conditions
    • Fee calculator
    • Mandate setup

Why this step matters

Nothing moves forward without your awareness and approval. You remain in control at every stage. Also, this is when the mandate is setup for auto debit of the advisory fees.

Step 5: Sign the advisory agreement 

Here you can read the RIA agreement and then proceed to sign it by entering your Aadhaar number and the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Onboarding is complete here.  After this step you will be able to choose the advised portfolio from your preferred fund house.
